I spent a few very enjoyable hours with UVic Martlet writer, Anna Dodd. She managed to weave post-WW2 history with my own story, past and present, and I think she did an impressive job. Thanks to CFUV for their support. The pre-recorded PSAs (public service announcements) as well as the spontaneous comments from fellow hosts, were much appreciated.

The "Witnessing History" article is additional information not related to the book except that the reason for the trip was to visit my aunt Piccina, a major character in the story. |

An excerpt from A River of Oranges was published in the Toronto-based literary magazine, untethered, in the spring of 2018.
My intrepid editor read the excerpt on my behalf at the magazine's launch party. Magazine co-editor Nicole Haldoupis actually came to my launch, to my great surprise and delight! |
